VIET-EURO-Consulting facilitates enterprises’ exports

Over recent years, many foreign consultancy firms have set up offices in Vietnam to help local enterprises penetrate into foreign markets and encourage foreign companies to invest in Vietnam. These firms have greatly contributed to the increase of Vietnam’s exports.

VIET-EURO-Consulting was established early this year, and its operations in Vietnam are already proving fruitful. Located in the central province of Binh Dinh, the wholly foreign invested company has expanded its operations to cover all of Vietnam. The company’s primary activity is to advise Vietnamese enterprises regarding their exports to Europe. It also serves as consultancy for foreign enterprises, which intend to invest or trade in Vietnam.

Vice General Manager of VIET-EURO-Consulting Tobias Barisch elaborates: "I think there is a lot of potential for Vietnamese enterprises to export their products to the European market. VIET-EURO-Consulting is supporting these Vietnamese enterprises first of all in consultancies with a choice of technology. Very often the quality aspects are not yet met or the quantity cannot be met but not because of lack of raw materials, because of lack of inefficiency, or of current application of technology or techniques. So our company stands for professional consultancies including financial calculation for Vietnamese enterprises to purchase new technology from Europe or even finding a business co-operation partner or joint venture or business co-operation contracts to European companies to invest in Vietnam together with Vietnamese partners."

The company’s management board is comprised of four German nationals who have much experience in working in Vietnam. In addition they have set up a big partnership network in Germany and Europe to facilitate the company’s activities.

Mr. Tobias Barisch says: "We also have a big network of staff in Germany and Europe so we have a very good connection in business community in Europe. We often get requests for Vietnamese markets or about Vietnamese products. According to Vietnamese companies we take the occasion of participating in trade fairs on the other side. We have a good network through our long experience in Vietnam because, although the company was only established one year ago, most of the staff is living in Vietnam for more than two or five years."

Although VIET-EURO-Consulting company’s operation in Vietnam is young, it has helped set up many contacts for both Vietnamese and European enterprises. Mr. Barisch said that VIET-EURO-Consulting has supported a large number of Vietnamese enterprises maximize their profits and increase their profitability.

Tobias Barisch said: "We will actually in the future organize some workshops and training on these topics. What we are doing now is to organize business trips for European companies to come to Vietnam and also for Vietnamese companies to go to Europe. This is related to exhibition and trade fairs in Europe and at the same time we will organize contacts to European partners. We will continue our consultancies for Vietnamese enterprises as well as European enterprises. We will operate in different technical areas as it is now and we are also planning to open branches in Hanoi and HCM City by the beginning of next year."
