Wastewater Treatment
On 18/2/2003, VIET-EURO-Consulting organized a symposium on wastewater treatment.

The symposium was organized in collaboration with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment of the province Binh Dinh, the Management Board of Industrial Zones in Binh Dinh and the Binh Dinh Center of Investment, Trade Promotion and External Relations. About 50 representatives of authorities and enterprises in Binh Dinh participated in the symposium, among them the Vice-President of Binh Dinh province, Mr. Pham Van Thanh. Mr. Bodo Lamberth from IAKS in Germany was the guest speaker. Germany is regarded as a worldwide leading in the field of wastewater treatment. At the beginning an overview about wastewater treatment in Germany was given and several technology solutions for food processing (beer, sugar, dairy) and wood processing industries were shown. The second part of the presentation contained waster water treatment on commune and city level. The third part introduced controlling techniques to optimize power consumption of wastewater treatment systems. During the following discussion representatives of authorities and enterprises considered wastewater problems serious and the discussion showed, that wastewater treatment solutions may have a bright future in Vietnam because of the fast growing the demand for such solutions is rising. |
